    Hi!
    The bot itself is good.
But, it would be more popular if we remove the restriction on the right to control them.
    Because of this rating 3.

it says there are too many people listing to ggradio every time anyone in my discord server try to turn it on.
Question is what is your actual ggradio user limit

We have a limit of 100 simultaneous streams via our Discord bot, every listener adds more stress to the server that the bot runs on at the moment so we have had to add a cap to prevent the server crashing.

We are working on an update to the bot so that each new listener doesn't open a new stream (causing more stress), however this will require a rewrite of the bot and will take time to complete.

If you encounter this error, we recommend tuning in via our website.

Now I have never made a bot for discord before so i don't know the limitations on it but what is you just make more bots.
Also what about making it so the bot dose not play live but have it play 3-5 min's behind the live channel. Like when your watching live sports online, they say its live but to reduce stress on the servers they have then run 1-3 min behind real time live.
Again I have never made a bot for discord but what I do know is that playing something that is already recorded (like a movie) has less stress on everything (PC's & people), then trying to record and play at the same time.
My collage teacher told once that you can only read as fast as the person who writes it, but if its already written then you can only read as fast as the gods wills let you. (note: gods meaning everything else - servers, internet providers, PC's)
Again I have never written a discord bot before and it has been a while since I have scripted, so plz don't think that im saying i know better then you or anyone in this community. Plz don't roast me.

I'm not gonna roast you. But I'll explain the limitation. Discord doesn't limit us to how many audio streams we could run at once. The limit at the moment is that every guild (server) we are playing music in requires a new audio encoder (in this case, ffmpeg). Each instance of FFMPEG requires it's own thread on the processor and a small buffering amount of RAM, if we're streaming to 100 servers, that's 100 threads just for audio encoding. Without the limit, we could easily cause crashes on the server which might not automatically recover.

I'm working on an update to the bot that will hopefully be better at sharing FFMPEG instances, but Discord's API is making that hard work for us.

On what your college tutor said, yes we could probably add a delay system to the stream, but that would use more RAM because it has to cache the audio as it comes in from the live servers (we can't just delay the audio from Icecast to everything, that just recreates the same issue)

You also talked about how we can only read as fast as it's being written, which is true. So our bot is listening to our audio streaming service at the same speed as it writes.

And yes, playing something recorded has much less stress on the server as we can just play it instead of having to reencode it at the bot server side.

    Hope this made sense.

Ya thanks for the run down makes complete sense and I appreciate the time you took to explain that to me. I wish the team luck in solving this and I hope that maybe I one day I can be apart of this awesome community, but for now I wish you all luck.
