Following on from last week, as promised - we're releasing our new player early.
Our new player is miles ahead of the previous one, here's some new features we have already implemented:
- Cross browser compatibility.
- Mobile compatibility with Android and iOS - more on this later.
- Brand new design by @Mantas that flows perfectly with the GG5 design and is much easier to use.
- Built on a different audio library, which we should see better performance on.
- Pull the track up instantly on Last.FM to find out more about the artist.
- Works on full screen and smaller window sizes perfectly.
- Shows the current song in the title of the tab.
We intend on getting apps out everywhere as soon as possible, but until then you can follow
these instructions to use the web page as an app - it's way better than it sounds!
Our plans don't end there though, in the next few months we'll be updating it to include all of the following features:
- Automated requests to the AutoDJ.
- Request line to presenters.
- Song vote skipping.
- Audio quality settings.
- Last.FM scrobbling.
- And of course, lots more!
At the moment we're just launching the web player, but native MacOS, Android, Linux, Chrome and Windows apps are on their way very soon.
